Jović Confers with Georgian Foreign Minister

The State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Damjan Jović met today in Tbilisi with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Maka Botchorishvili, during his visit to Georgia on the occasion of bilateral political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries.

In a cordial exchange, the interlocutors reaffirmed the traditional friendship between the two countries and their readiness to further advance cooperation through intensified political dialogue and exchanges of visits at all levels. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the continuous dialogue between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs and reaffirmed their commitment to further deepening it.

The interlocutors also underscored the importance of mutual support for and respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both countries.

On this occasion, State Secretary Jović conveyed Serbia’s expectation regarding Georgia’s participation in Expo 2027 in Belgrade, emphasising that the event would provide an excellent opportunity to showcase friendly Georgia and its natural, economic and cultural potential.
